Default Obsidian Armour Question

I know that the FoW is a core area, but as I don't have factions I want to ask a question.

Is there a Factions/Nightfall equivalent of FoW?

For instance - In prophecies, you can buy 4 sets of 15k for your class. Then theres 1 set of FoW for your class (is that right?)

In factions (correct me if Im wrong as I dont have it), there are 4 sets of 15k armour again (Luxxon , Kurzick and 2 more I guess).

But is there a 15k armour in factions that uses ectos etc, or do factions players have to use FoW still?

So i guess im asking if FoW is shared across the board, so that the set that can be accessed from Prophecies is still the rarest armour going.

I hope I made sense.

There is no equivelent to FoW in Cantha but Factions users can access FoW and UW via Zin Khu Corridor.

There are multiple sets of FoW armour with different armour/energy bonuses just like in Droknars but they all look identical regardless of which set you go for. (E.g. monk Ascetics and Judge's look the same)

You're almost right, there are 15k Luxon, Kurzick and Canthan sets available.

Ectos and shards are only used for FoW armour which is accessible from both chapters. 15k armours in Cantha use Jadeite Shards (if Luxon) or Amber Chunks (if Kurzick) and Canthan use miscellanious rare materials.

Thankyou very much.

The reason I asked is once I have FoW armour I want to start Factions, but didn't want to waste my time. But after reading your response, I know that my FoW armour will hold up in all three games as the rarest armour kind still.

And thankyou as I didnt know that there were 4 sets of FoW armour, with different stats but looked the same!

Could you explain to me the difference between the 3 sets of Factions armour? I've never really understood about people choosing an alliance and how it effects your char/guild. Does it make a difference what set you pick with relation to which way your guild has chosen?

The three different types of armor are just appearance (canthan, luxon, kurzick), 4 different qualities are for utility? You're not gonna be using the + Health bonus armor playing 55.

But you're prob getting fow.. theres only 1 look :\ and 4 different stats, as opposed to 15k which has 3 different looks (again, kurzick, luxon, and canthan) or in Tyria, platemail, gladiators... etc

Ive read GW Wiki extensively, but I didnt understand it as I didnt know there were 4 types of FoW armour with different stats that looked the same.

Just looked through again, and it appears to me that there are more than 4sets...

Plus I can't seem to find the stat differences between the FoW sets, and the crafting costs for each set (assuming they differ). Any help?

Assassins and Ritualists have 5 15K crafters available. There are three different crafters in Divine path for them.

Actually FoW is not a "core" location such that it is limited to Prophecis but rather common to both chapters and presumably will be in each. The Fow or UW you access from Temple of Ages or Lornar's Pass is the same one you access from Zin Ku.

You just needed to click a little further and you would have seen this link: http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Eternal_Forgemaster

Select the appropriate class and you will see the material requirements and stats on various armor sets.

Thankyou

I know FoW is core and accesible from all areas. And youve answered all of my questions -

Assuming that the following three armours ; Minion Master's Armor , Blighter's Armor or Revenant's Armor come in FoW form, can I access them through Prophecies? Or can i not even though they do come in FoW form, or do they not come in FoW form?

Ive clicked on that link, and it lists ALL the armour types.

But it also says MM armour is from Factions, which I know. Im just wondering whether I can get it without owning factions as FoW is a core area, and it was just introduced with factions.

The link does not state this, so anyone that knows I'd be grateful.

are you deadman?

The table shows what materials are needed for each armor type. They wouldn't show it on that page if it wasn't FoW armor would they?

As you clearly undrstand that FoW is accessible grom both ToA(prophecies) and zin ku(factions) why would the forgemaster show you diffrent stats of armor depending on where you enter??

Its all the same, the forgemaster will show you the same stats for the specific profession you are playing.
Forget about how many stats each characters has, what ever the forgemaster shows you, it will show to everyone else that get to him does not matter from where you enter the area.

Ok, thankyou. That's all I wanted to know.

And the reason I was asking, was that for instance MM armour wasn't at the Forgemaster before Factions was released. And as I don't own Factions, I didn't know if there was some coding or something that wouldn't let me buy FoW armour.

That was all.
